Atelier Yumia dropped on Mar. 21st
The latest Atelier game, Atelier Yumia, finally dropped on March 21st—and Akihabara turned into full-on Yumia town. Ads, figures, panels… the whole area got “hijacked” in the best way possible. Fans of the series were treated to a full-on visual celebration that was hard to miss.
Akihabara turned pastel and magical
Step out of Akihabara Station and boom—Yumia's face was everywhere. Giant billboards, digital screens, even those trucks blasting music with game trailers on loop. The whole vibe was cozy alchemist meets Tokyo neon. It wasn't just marketing—it felt like Yumia’s world had popped into ours.
Limited-edition figures? Yes please
Inside places like AmiAmi and Akiba CO Gallery, fans got to check out some seriously cool figure displays. The main attraction? A 1/7 scale Yumia figure mid-transmutation, complete with glowing crystal effects and detailed alchemy gear. Some stores had color-variant exclusives too—real collector bait.
So, what’s the game like?
Yumia is a new heroine—super smart but a bit of a clutz—which makes her instantly likable. The game sticks with the cozy fantasy and crafting vibe the series is known for, but adds a revamped alchemy system and branching storylines. Oh, and the music? Absolute bangers, as always.
More than just hype
This kind of promo isn’t just about selling a game—it’s about building a vibe, a world you can step into IRL, even for a weekend. And honestly? It worked. Akiba felt alive with the spirit of Atelier, and fans (me included) totally loved it.
Would you wanna see something like this in your city? Or did you check it out in person? Drop a comment and let’s talk Yumia!
